Thai Yoga Massage

What to Expect During a Session

Thai Yoga is a mix of yoga postures and gentle stretching with palming & thumbing techniques applied to the sen lines (energy lines) and marma points (pressure points) on the body. It can help…

  • Reduce stress levels

  • Relieve muscular tension & headaches

  • Lessen digestive disorders

  • Improve sleep

  • Increase circulation

  • Restore an energetic balance in the body

Through this practice, the practitioner and client both receive a sense of ease and well-being. It is a practice of compassion and loving kindness.

Thai Yoga is done on a mat on the floor. I provide props if needed for more support. I recommend wearing clothes that you can move freely in such as yoga or workout clothes. I also recommend wearing long pants because that will feel more comfortable during the massage.

Where did Thai Yoga Massage come from?

Thai Yoga Massage (or Nuad Boran) has it’s roots in India and is based on yogic and Ayurvedic medicine. It traveled to Thailand over 2,000 years ago where it’s been a part of traditional Thai medicine ever since. Jivaka Kumarbhacca is the founder of traditional Thai Yoga Massage.
